👟 The Walkathon Is September 24!
Our primary fundraiser of the year is just around the corner! This year, we’re simplifying fundraising with a new digital platform through Leading Edge Fundraising. 🎉
📱 Step 1: Set Up Your Child’s Fundraising Page
Your child will bring home a Walkathon handout this week with a QR code and instructions.
1. Scan the QR code or go to www.launch.fund (Code: SHXYRZ)
2. Create your child’s fundraising page using their name (this will appear in messages and on the leaderboard), pick size, grade, team (class).
3. Have multiple children at Saddle Ridge? We recommend using a different phone number or email for each child. Or email saddleridgepto@gmail.com with each child’s name, grade, and teacher, and Leading Edge can split the donations earned evenly among your children once the Walkathon is complete.
💰 Step 2: Share & Collect Donations
Share your child’s fundraising link by text, email, or social media with family, friends, and neighbors near or far! Donations are made directly through the platform—no cash or checks to collect.
Add a personal touch with a quick video of your child explaining why they love the Walkathon or sharing their goal to send with your message!
🏆 Exciting Prizes!
Students and classes can earn Saddle Ridge apparel, class parties, squishies, and more!
And the top fundraiser from each class gets to spray Dr. Fogg with silly string! 😂
🎯 Where Does the Money Go?
Walkathon funds directly support our students and school, helping supporting Book Fairs, Halloween Halls, Family Fun Nights, Pastries for Parents, Teacher Appreciation Week, and school assemblies. We also provide gifts to fulfill the Saddle Ridge Christmas Angel Tree requests, restock the library’s book vending machine and help to offset costs of student field trips.
PTO long-term fundraising goal: Over the next few years, we aim to raise enough to upgrade the school’s front marquee to a digital board – a lasting enhancement for Saddle Ridge and an excellent way to keep families informed!
