Dear Saddle Ridge Elementary School Family,
It is with great joy that I will be joining the Saddle Ridge community! After spending time in Saddle Ridge over the last few years as a teacher, an instructional coach, and math coordinator, I know how lucky I am to be a part of this incredible community. I am looking forward to working with all of you to continue doing great things for our students.
After graduating from the University of Wyoming in 2002, my husband and I moved to Cheyenne to begin our careers. I spent ten years in the classroom teaching mostly kindergarten and first grade students and later, sixth grade at Saddle Ridge. I then transitioned to an instructional coaching position where I was able to support teachers with implementing high quality instructional practices. Next, I served our district as the Elementary Math Coordinator and as a Summer School Principal. I have three children: a sixth grader at Meadowlark and a freshman and junior at East High School. My husband is the Associate Principal at East High. Needless to say, we are all huge T-Bird fans! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, coaching youth volleyball, and spending time with my family.
Through the various roles I have served LCSD1, I have witnessed an exceptional level of commitment from our parents, care givers, and community to ensure students’ needs are met. Saddle Ridge has many talented educators, support staff, families, and students. However, I know there is always room for improvement. The district’s Strategic Plan,Elevate LCSD1, will provide focus and align to the work we will do to ensure the best for our students. Working together, I know that we will be able to build upon the successes your child has already experienced to give all our students a world-class education. I look forward with eager anticipation to the wonderful things that we will be able to accomplish together by putting students first!
